So now you have your tailored wardrobe … how do you ensure that it remains in tip-top condition?
First of all, don't wear the same item for too long, and not two days in succession if at all possible - just like the wearer, the fibres and shape of the item need a rest!
Hang the jacket on a good hanger to support the shoulders and put trousers in a press overnight after wearing and ideally again in the press again the night before wearing.
Most of us don't like being cramped - neither do your clothes. Leave space around each item in the wardrobe to allow them to breathe and recover from the stresses of being worn.
If you have a mishap, don't rub the stain as this could damage the surface of the fabric. Dab it gently, then, if necessary, seek specialist advice.
Never put away dirty items, have them cleaned first by a reputable company. Not only will they last longer but you will always have the clothes you want ready to wear for those planned and unexpected events.
And finally, if your clothes are looking a little crumpled after a busy day or long journey, place them in the bathroom whilst you have that steaming bath or shower. Not only will you feel great - so will your outfit!
